Why did I choose to blog in the 1st place?

Some people blog about their exciting escapades, their adventures, events they attend.

Some blog about their passion.

To a certain minority, is IS their passion.

Some use their blogs to vent their anger.

Some, for all of the above, and maybe even more.

I started a blog because I wanted to know what the joy of blogging was. I was interested on what kept these people blogging day by day like it was almost their life. Kinda like a diary. And I thought I'd find my answer by now.

I thought I'd understand if I blogged for a while...but in the end...I still don't! Thanks for taking the words right out of my mouth, Azusa. =3=

I've been through alot with this blog of mine...venting, advertising, changing of URLs, love, heartbreak, a blog war and so many other things. But what have I proven in the last few months? I just can't seem to keep up to date with my blog. Now I'm not gonna point fingers, but Twitter...you know what I'm gonna say.

And so, I've decided...is this it for my blog? The final bow before the curtains are drawn?

This one's for those of you who have "private" blogs and "private" Tweets as well as "private" Facebook walls.

I for one, detest such a practice. I myself have none of the above. Why? Simple. Because I don't NEED to have them. Let me begin by asking a very simple question I believe even retards can give a feasible answer to.

Why protect your Tweets, blogs or Facebook walls?

Many of you might answer that you want to keep certain information as private, and not leak them out on the internet. After all, cyberworld is somewhere you're most susceptible to getting your personal details stolen and stuff, right?

That's right. Only if you're the dumbest IDIOT in the world to reveal everything about yourself.

The moment you step into the internet, you should be well aware that you're no longer comfortably sitting in your little room in front of a screen with the air conditioning turned on at full blast anymore. You're in a whole different world. People READ what you type in blogs and tweets. What happens if you make your profiles and stuff "private"? They can't see it! Simple resolution to all your problems, but the most cowardly of all.

My point is, what's the point in creating a blog or having a Facebook page or Twitter when NOBODY can see them except who you deem to be "your friends"? Are you afraid of something? Have you posted something offensive to others? Are you just plain selective? Sensitive, maybe?

I don't protect ANY of my social networking accounts. Why? As I've said before, I don't NEED to. What I type and post is for the world to see, and what they make of it is merely based on their own discretion. You misinterpret it, I'm sorry. It's not ME who has to spell everything out to you. Think one of my Tweets or blog posts is offensive to you? What's wrong? You "terasa" is it? Sincerest apologies, it's my own prerogative. You have no say in whatever I post. Do you have any evidence I'm referring to you? Unless you have any, you'd better not come fuck around with me.

Still not convinced? Answer me this:

What is a blog for?

Why do you Tweet?

Why do you have a Facebook profile?

Answers? Most probably:

To write posts and publish it for others in the cyberworld to read.

To summarize what may be a blog post into 160 characters and spill your emotions at the moment.

To catch up with old friends, make new friends and keep in touch.

Why the hell would you need to protect them? I can only think of 3 reasons:

Your posts/profiles are offensive/contain offensive material.

Your posts/profiles contain personal information.

You're a loner. You keep everything to yourself and YOURSELF only.

The problem isn't with the world "trying to steal your personal information" or "attack you with every post you publish". It's with you. Don't think that for one moment people who post stuff that actually doesn't refer to anyone is meant for you and get all flustered at that person. You're making yourself look like a total IDIOT.

Maybe if you open your eyes and understand the world a little better, you'll still have a chance(if any) of ever being dubbed a sane person. If you can't, kindly remove yourself from the gene pool of this Earth's population for the benefit of mankind. Thank you.

Tomorrow? It's math. There's no way to cram anything. I've just gotta be mentally prepared. Yeah, that's what they all say anyways. Math never seemed so hard before in my entire life...

Trials began today. ESL isn't counted, but what the heck. It serves as practice for our finals anyway.

3 hours. Listening comprehension, extended response and finally letter writing. I woke up at 6am thinking I was late for a 7am paper today. ESL doesn't begin until 11.30am. FML.

I'm not sure how things will turn out. I could barely listen through that heavy Australian accent of the person speaking and my letter had only 2 main points in it. What's more is that Chemistry is tomorrow. I don't think I'm ready for this. How am I going to pull through 4 more days of this same thing, only...it gets harder day by day?

I hope patience served you well. I shall begin my final presentation.

If you'll now please turn your attention to the MAJOR problem certain posts of his, and I believe there's a certain trademark of his. Slandering another person he dislikes. Yes, I've been a victim of it before. Oh, the days of returning each other's posts with foul intentions to merely hurt the other party. But this is where I should really HOLD IT!

When I think back...was I really that different? Below is the chronology of our feud, A reply after another...

It started off something like this...
I retaliated with this. He explained to me the next day of the amount of stress that he was put through and apologised. I understood.
All was fine, until a misunderstanding came upon us.
With the use of "you people", and "love-triangles", he was not being very clear, pretty much generalising the act. This made me answer. Still being unclear, his next post was this. That was when I reprised.
What he described had pretty much fit my situation, and I took it as mine. After all, I was extremely sure of it.
As expected, he replied. Things got really heated up at this point. He continued. I instantly shot back, and continued.
His reply? Something struck me, and I'll reveal what it was later.
But these were the final two posts in that incident. My killing blow, and his apology.

Why did it end so abruptly? It was because I found the hidden motive. I raised an OBJECTION! He was keen on lashing out on me, I knew it. But I initiated it due to the misunderstanding that his 1st post was meant for me. You see, it was this certain emotion, virus, feeling, whatever you call it. It's called jealousy. It exists in every one of us. We at some point, are jealous of somebody over something. This time, he was jealous of me. Truthfully speaking, I've been jealous of him before. Of all the attention, sometimes. Yes, it's the attention that swarms to his blog, and other undisclosed reasons.

What happens when a conflict arises, and both parties argue? It isn't beneficial in any way. We humans are capable of the most beautiful things in life, and at the same time, the ugliest.

Daniel Jeyachristi Jude-Valentine Anthony, I have presented to you, just a fraction of the evidence I have procured from the scene of the crime, your blog. Although I may have seemed harsh on your blogging methods and how you handle it, it is none of my concern. I am merely stating my opinions.

To see that you would end your blog is a sad thing. Why? I can present some evidence to you, if you would like. Please recall paragraphs 4 and 5 in one of your earlier posts. It is obvious that you love your blog with a passion. You wouldn't give it up for the world. It is your gateway to the outside world, to tell the world your emotions, to vent out all that pent up anger. It is part of your life, and killing this blog means taking a part of your life and throwing it away, just like that.

Honestly, I'm ashamed of you. At the thought of giving your blog...a coda. Sometimes, blogging just isn't a mere tool to convey your message across to the world. It is a place, where great memories are preserved, hopefully for a lifetime. And those memories can never be experienced ever again. They can only be relived through imagination, and of course, articles regarding those memories. And that's what I see your blog as. A place for great memories.

Recall this post if you would. Many other posts bear the same type of emotion. Sometimes if you just push aside all the negative things and whatnot, everything will seem brighter.

I have pretty much said about all there is for me to say. Though, there is still much to see and talk about regarding the blog. However, I shall leave it as that. As I've stated earlier, it is a place full of memories. And memories should NEVER be wiped away.

I begin the presentation of evidence I have discovered on day 1 of my investigation.

To keep things quick and simple, I elaborate on the contents of his blog.

Have you ever heard a kid, let's say 8 year old, for that matter, whine and never stop? You can try to keep them quiet, pacify them, amuse them till the cows come home, you'd still end up with a whiny kid. This pretty much explains it.

Miles Edgeworth, an ace prosecutor in the game Phoenix Wright gave a quote that I couldn't forget that really matches this situation. It's right above. See it? If you don't, I'd have to declare you legally blind.

Yes, posts full of whining. All about self-pity. This is what I'm talking about. It really is pitiful to see these posts on blogs.

Somehow, you've gotta think. There is a reason to everything. Evidence in a crime scene proves everything. If the suspect REALLY is innocent, there has to be evidence that has been overlooked. Everything happens for a reason. I've stated earlier that this blog of his has seen ALOT of action.
And that a certain latest case has driven him to the extent of throwing away one of his life's most valueable possessions: his blog.

Why so? I can provide an answer to that.

This is how it all began, which lead to this.

You can't hide things all the time. Even the most well-spun lies or concealments can be seen through and taken apart. What I'm driving at is the REAL problem at hand.

And this brings me to tomorrow's final presentation.

It has been a long, 4 month break since my last post. I'd like to apologise for my disappearance during this period. However, I shall not elaborate on this topic at this moment.

My eyes have been opened due to the very fact that this certain friend of mine has been running his blog for the past 3 years, having composed specifically 303 posts as of yesterday, claiming to post about the life of a student, in common time. In exactly 3 days, this blog is due to expire. He is apparently, stuck at a crossroad of whether to bestow upon his blog, a da capo or coda.

This blog of his has seen many many awe-inspiring posts, depressing posts, offensive posts and whatnot. It has seen more action in years than a Protoss Zealot engaged in battle against a swarm of Zerg Zerglings.

I have a suspicion that this certain latest case upon him in fact, has driven him to this extent of contemplation of throwing in the towel. Many pieces of evidence lie in wait, just at the scene of the crime. One thing I must say is...most, if not all, are incriminating.

Don't get me wrong:

I am not here to tell him what to do or what NOT to do, for that matter.

I am not one to judge him right or wrong based on his posts. I solely give my own opinion.

I am unbiased in any way. I tell only the facts. I do not care if it will hurt. Living based on facts is better than deluding one's self into thinking that "everything is fine", and "everything will be alright".

I am only here to offer my thoughts, and hopefully that will help in his decision.

The proceeding 2 posts in the next remaining 2 days shall present the evidence I find, hopefully decisive enough. That is all for now.

Its that time of the year again. Only this time, I'm going to turn into a full adult.

I'm no longer a child anymore after 12 midnight today.

No longer will I be restricted to go to places that have an 18+ policy.

No longer will I be disallowed the sale of cigarettes and alcohol.

No longer will I be tried as a juvenile if I ever do commit a crime.

I never thought birthdays had much impact on a person. In fact, it had very little on me. I'm just growing another year older. That's what I've always thought. But this year, I feel really different.

If I was ever asked, "Did you appreciate or enjoy your youth?", I'd be unable to answer that question.

My secondary life never really has been pleasant or smooth. A few of you out there know why, and you'd understand me.

I never thought turning 18 would be a big deal, until now. Alot of things are going through my mind currently, and I'm not happy about them. Its hard being an 18 year old(almost!). =(

What should I do with the 3 hours of my youth I have left?

You might have read from previous posts that I'm struggling in college doing SAM. I have friends who are too, a good example being Daniel over here. He's at his wits end barely surviving in SAM. He's even had a good mind of dropping out of SAM to grab a diploma.

Malcolm's in CAL. We've been close brothers ever since primary school. Following this guy's reputation, I bet he'd make it out alive in no time.

There's no need to mention Terance, Mei Yee and Mei Shen. I'm pretty sure they'll pull through, even if its tough.

Last week, a friend of mine got terminated from Taylor's for not achieving the required amount of credits. It took alot out of him, and for the first time, I saw him get very emotional over it.

We DO have our misunderstandings at times, especially when we were in Nobel. We used to argue over the little things and all. But in the end, all 5 of us which make up the previous 5 Gold in which we love.

Edward Sham, I remember all the fights we've been through. How we both hated each other's guts. How we badmouthed each other so much behind our backs. How we would pretend to be fine with each other when we weren't. But I'm talking as a true friend of yours right now. My classmate whom I've spent 1 1/2 years with.

I'll miss you and all the fun times we had. After all this while, you've been a great friend of mine. No matter how much I've hated you before, for a strange reason, its all gone. Good luck out there, Ed. I'm sure you'll do fine. You're a tough guy. And you can come back to us anytime you need us. =)

What You Gotta Do Is Pick Yourself Up!

I've been pretty busy the past few weeks. This is gonna be one long post.

SPM results are out. Everyone's cheering, they're happy.

Well, not everyone, though.

Not everyone gets straight A+s.

Not everyone gets straight As, for that matter.

Not everyone gets even an A-, too.

Not everyone is capable of achieving a scholarship for their outstanding results.

Not everyone will take this issue lightly.

Not everyone will stay optimistic about their futures.

Not everyone will feel the same way they did anymore in their classes.

Out of the above, I satisfy ALL. I am in a class of aspiring doctors, where I dare say 95% of the class are straight A students, complete with a few geniuses thrown in. I dare say that I'm probably the lowest in my class right now. Its alright, I deserve it in a way. I've always been a carefree person. I go with the flow. Never really cared about anything much.

I could only stare at my result chit that my principal had handed me. And why? I'd gotten:

A+ ~ English
A ~ Math
A ~ Add math
A- ~ Biology
A+ ~ Physics
B+ ~ Chemistry
B+ ~ EST
C ~ BM
C ~ Moral
C+ ~ Sejarah

I never expected Cs for those 3 subjects. At least Bs would suffice? I was devastated. I was aghast. I couldn't face anyone anymore. Everything felt meaningless. My mind instantly drowned out any shred of encouragement the people around me gave me.

They'd tell me that I did alright, that my results were pretty good. My own parents even gave me the same encouragement, stating that the core subjects being the 2 math and 3 sciences were all that matters since I was in a pure science streamed class in Taylor's anyway.

Still, I shielded myself from everyone's optimistic encouragements. I lightened up when one of my friends, Daniel told me this:

"Look, this was your ticket into Taylor's, and you've got it. Its not gonna affect your TER in any way, so just go with it and work harder for the course itself!"

Daniel achieved 3As. He had that sort of optimism which I didn't.

I continued being stubborn despite my friends' uplifting words. I always was an obstinate person anyways. How could they all understand? You're stuck with people whom you ask:

"So, you got straight As?"

and they answer:

"No la, I only got 8A+s and 2As."

For Christ's sake, its still an A! If it were me, it wouldn't have mattered if I'd gotten A-s for every single subject. And what about them discussing about the Tan Sri Loy Hean Heong Merit Scholarship in front of you? Its pretty demoralising too. And you have the feeling that they don't treat you the way they used to anymore. Their perspectives have changed on you.

Maybe its just natural to feel this way. Just for a few days more. I don't know if I'm deluding myself by thinking I did fine for my core subjects. I have no idea if I'll be able pull through my course. But one thing's for sure, I haven't given up yet. I realise that no matter how much I mull over the past, its not going to change anything. I have to pick myself up and move on.

I know some of you guys may be reading this, and I don't want you to misunderstand. I appreciate the advice and help you all are giving to me. I'm not offended by you guys talking about the results and scholarship plans in front of me. And I hope you guys aren't offended by this post of mine too. I just feel like releasing my emotions over here, and that's that. There's no need to react differently towards me after reading this post, ok? I still love you, G8. You're a bunch of wonderful people. =)

The heat's starting to build up. I don't even have much time to do what I want anymore. Case in point: updating my blog. I can't remember the last time I hated math so much. Then I loved it.

Now I hate it again.

Math used to be that simple subject where you add, subtract, multiply and divide. Then came along algebra, which complicated things with letters called variables. Now you have abstract concepts like imaginary numbers and whatnot.

Yeah. Some of you might be sitting there thinking, "What, there are real numbers and imaginary numbers?!" Yes. You can actually find the square root of a -ve number. Something that we were taught was NOT possible at all in school.

College life's different. I mean it. Some people say its the best time in your life. You get to hang out, go for parties, you have alot more leniency and stuff like that. I really beg to differ. Contrarily, it's laden with peer pressure, homework and your good old stress inducing examinations.

Studying is hard. Revising is hard. Especially when you're in a class of aspiring doctors and have many freaking geniuses in there who claim they don't study much, but they actually know so much. It really is embarrassing when everyone can answer a question and you're the one who's lost. Yeah, you might call it a learning process...but still, don't tell me you wouldn't feel a thing at all?

There's this girl in my class who claims she doesn't do much work, as she falls asleep halfway doing so. Michelle loves food, eats quite moderately and still is well...small. Yep. I've yet to see whether she ACTUALLY is capable of excelling in her studies or not. Then there's the DotA freak who's pretty laid back. Or so I think. Ivan, he seems to be a guy who doesn't really fit into the class, but you can never judge a book by its cover. He's diligent, knowledgeable and gets on my nerves at times. You know what I'm talking about, Ivan! =S

There's lots of other people in my class who you just judge by their looks when you first meet them, but when you get to know them better, you'll see what I'm talking about. Wen Shi, Gene Wern, Ian, Annabella, Candice, Hsing Hwa, etc...I know I'm not at par with them. Or at least I think so. Or maybe I know so.

Enough emo-ing there, I've got a Chemistry test to study for tomorrow. I just hope I won't flunk this one too.

Why do people swear? To make themselves look cool? So that their friends will acknowledge them? Well...in my opinion, these sort of people are just downright immature.

I mean, swearing and cursing doesn't make you look COOL. It shows the world how PATHETIC you really are. It shows everyone how you cry out for attention by uttering profanities. What's the matter, can't make friends and look cool without swearing? Get a life.

Halfway through our so-called heated argument on an FB photo, you leave cause you don't want to "fill the beautiful photo with MY shits"? Oh, PLEASE. You swore 100% of the time, made such feeble attempts to try an insult me and spoke nothing of relevance towards the "argument".

I on the other hand, barely even swore, used formal English and words you have no knowledge of AT ALL. Right after that, you left the convo. Feeling defeated, buddy? Aha. Just goes to show that people like YOU are the ones who really lack intellect.

Later on, another guy joins in and claims I have no balls to talk to you face to face. Then what are you guys doing talking to me over FB? You're pretty cowardly, aren't you? You all need each other to face me. Otherwise alone, you're all afraid. Ah, the irony. And to think, I don't even know this newcomer. Or he was probably so insignificant that I never noticed him in school.

Then this owner of the photo keeps on deleting comments that flow in, especially mine. What does that imply? That she's scared. That she doesn't want the world to see my comments. Because they are all FACTS. You people delude yourself in a world of lies where you are superior. HAH.

And what IS that surprise, really? Why, its for all you people who've stupidly...ok, accidentally. Accidentally updated your PSP's firmware to lets say the highest possible, OFW 6.20? I bet some of you have inquired me on the hackability of that OFW and got a very, very depressing answer.

Well, fret no more! It seems here that pspjoke with the assistance of n00b81 stumbled upon an exploit. And by the way, it works even on the PSP-3000 AND the PSPgo.

Here, the facts:

this save game user-mode hack works on firmware 6.20 and all PSP models, including the 3000 and the PSPgo. That said — it’s obviously a downloadable title. But I won’t go there… We’re under strict orders that we must honour and obey to keep the balance of power intact. Just know unsigned code is indeed running.

So yes, your joy is pretty shortlived. But hey, sit back and hold on. They work pretty fast, and who knows? Maybe you could be sending your PSP to me for hacking in a few days time...=D

Good Morning, Malaysia!

This post was meant to be published this morning, but I'll just continue where it left off.

Just before I leave for college this morning, I would like to thank many people who have helped calmed my nerves last night. It was really very thoughtful of the lot of you. =)

This morning, I woke up, read some news I found on Twitter and felt proud and even lucky to be a Malaysian. Why? We don't face as many natural disasters as others do, although we have the common political and racial tiffs every now and then. But then again, how does that compare to earthquakes, tornados, tsunamis and others?

This morning, Haiti experienced a massive earthquake measuring magnitude 7.0 on the Richter scale, being the strongest earthquake to hit Haiti in more than 200 years. The earthquake also triggered a warning of a possible tsunami.

As with all other earthquakes around the same magnitude, buildings toppled, windows shattered, the ground heaved and people were killed.

While I was preparing myself for college, all this happened in just a few minutes. I truly am grateful that Malaysia isn't threatened by the fury of mother nature that other countries do after all.

The Beginning of a New Chapter...

Its finally time to begin the start of a brand new life. A whole new world. A new chapter.

I'm pretty excited about it, but still, I can't say I'm quite ready yet.

Looking back, to all those wasted years of my youth where everything was so easy and carefree...I never really cherished much of these moments that I reminisce about now.

TOMORROW. I shall begin furthering my studies at this education facility:

I can say I'm excited about starting college life, but I'm pretty nervous about it too! I'm not the type with alot of courage, and I'm barely an extrovert. How am I supposed to bare with the new environment and fit in with my peers?

The courage to face the outside world isn't something to be easily obtained. Its like an extremely rare piece of armor or weapon...you don't see it when you try to get it. It comes as and when it likes...but when, for me...?

In view of the recent bombings of churches that have caused widespread concern throughout the multiracial nation consisting of diverse ethnics and cultures, one can do little but watch in awe as these immoral activities are being carried out by what seems to be a "demonstration" of sorts in regard to the disagreement of the use of the word "Allah" which is the Arabic word and Muslim reference to God by non-Muslims.

Obviously, the main culprits of these activities which have started since the 8th of January 2010 have no intention of stopping whatsoever, as the Sidang Injil Borneo church in Seremban was the latest church attacked only THIS morning by yet another Molotov cocktail, a type of petrol bomb.

Over the past 3 days, almost 10 churches were threatened or attacked in one way or another by having them vandalised, burnt, equipment stolen and even a pastor being manhandled then shoved to the ground by a bunch of these perpetrators. Other several blogs have reports on these cases and some of them are clearly either FAKE or SPECULATIONS. I urge you not to believe such posts unless it has been officially reported in the news.

The purpose of these acts are no doubt to divide the masses, and has been effective as the reaction from the masses have proven this. The henchmen for all intent and purpose could have been a lowly drug addict that was paid, prepped and staged to carry out these terrorising acts and they could have been of Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim or even Atheist in faith. The act is cowardice for sure and should be brought to justice. But the educated majority(hopefully) should not react from emotion and instead remain calm and collect.

Although I myself am a freethinker, I believe such acts are certainly of much disgrace to the Christ Himself, Christians, not to mention the country.

What is happening to the unity of our nation?

Where is the so-called 1Malaysia spirit in this?

Time will most certainly tell soon enough. For now, stock up on your food and stay home. =D

Now and finally, everyone around me is starting to see why love isn't worth anything giving up for. Yeah, maybe that's how I feel towards love because of my history as some might say. But otherwise, its useless. Why love, when it brings you all the way up onto cloud nine, then accelerates you back onto Earth and maybe even lower all at the speed of light? Heh, let's see...

Relationships that are forged and strengthened over the years are less susceptible to being broken, many believe. But I can tell you that this is not necessarily true. I've seen many people having their relationships for over a year or two, and having suddenly broken up with their so-called "life partner", or so it seems.

Yes, love is the greatest and most wonderful experience one could have. It makes your blood run high and it gives you that oh-so-terrific emotion that's hard to explain.

But love can also give you the worst feeling you could have ever imagined. It makes your heart ache, it makes you contemplate suicide and it shapes you into the you you never knew you would become.

So ask yourself this...why?

Well now, we have amongst us an 18-year old! Yes, folks. This guy spends most of his time in front of his little IBM thinkpad, surfing the web, blogging and God knows what else. He is a proud supporter of Linux (Club Penguin, as he calls it..), has a vast amount of general knowledge and loves pink?! Nevermind that.

Very well said. As you may(or may not) have noticed, its IceSky22AIZ | ZIAykSecI's 100th post! And I still haven't found an appropriate name for this blog! Its been 100 posts filled with emotion, information, entertainment and whatnot. What a great way to start the day, an ice cold shower in the morning, sending my sister off to school and returning home to that dreaded housework.

But hey, everything is always well-balanced in nature. I came home and discovered my torrent downloading at not 50, not 80 but at about 120kb/s! Now how many of you actually get torrents that run THAT fast? Oh, of course you have. But that's a rare sight, isn't it? Torrents usually go at about 20kb/s or less without any port forwarding...If you can't see the pic above, you can either just click it to view it directly or middle-click it to open it in a new window/tab.

Relax, I'm not at the computer right now, as you might think. I've set this post to auto publish. Besides, I wouldn't ever miss a countdown...what with all the beautiful, delicious food and stuff...

Its been a crazy year, especially since I went through the SPM examinations this year. So many things have happened this year, which as usual either had an impact on everyone's lives or changed many other things. I'm reminded of how fast we all are growing up. To think I'm going to college next year. Wow...

I've never really fit in with my peers being the weird outcast. I wonder if I'll be the same in college?

I've had quite a few friends here and there throughout my entire secondary school life. But none of them as close as the ones I've met in Sri Nobel. Yeah, we may argue and fight alot, but we reconcile quickly and remind ourselves what a small little group we are in school. I sure hope you guys do remember me! Besides, some of us are still gonna see each other in college..=)

I've changed alot once more. If you'd just read my posts ever since I've started this blog, you'd notice the change in the way I post. Definitely. Those of you who know me well probably know I'm a carefree person and go with the flow. And I change alot according to the situation and stuff. I can't wait to welcome 2010, but I'm not ready to say goodbye to 2009. Its weird that I'm feeling sentimental and all over this when I usually don't...=\

Its been one hell of a year alright. Time passes by so quickly. Our beloved Michael Jackson passed away, our computers got infected with the Conficker virus/worm, the PSP-3000 was released along with the PSP Go!, etc. What new challenges and changes lie ahead of us next year? Who knows...I'm off.

I've been meaning to post this up on the last day of school, but I had to ponder about the length of this post. Either ways, I've decided to post it up. Happy reading. =)

As the school year draws to close, I have finally come to realise how much we should appreciate our secondary school life. I, for one, did not have the privilege to do so until lately. Today might be the last time I see most of you ever again, and I'd like to thank the lot of you that made my stay in Sri Nobel a pleasant one. It certainly has changed the way I look at things and how I handle my problems.

On a side note, the ones who have well...you know. I don't blame you for doing so. These things happen everywhere and it just had to happen that you guys come after me. I won't be seeing you anymore, anyways so yeah. Besides, you guys sorta contributed to the school Sri Nobel is. Everyone's special in their own ways.

1st of all, I need to mention who I'd like to think is one of the best, if not the BEST principals of any single school out there, Mr. Chan. The respect we ALL have for him is tremendous. Mr. Chan can just walk past by your class and with the power of his two eyes can stop you and whatever nonsense you'd be doing. He truly is a highly respected principal.

"What's up with people who don't put their real name on Facebook?"

Here's my take on this.

Ever since the birth of social networking sites, people have been devoting their accounts to their favourite anime characters or even celebrities. Its all basically part of the fun. But wait, the main point is...

Social networking sites are used for meeting friends and inviting others to know you have a big circle of friends. And who knows, maybe you might find out that a friend of yours knows this other friend of your who knows....well, you know how it goes. And if they don't see your REAL name, how would they know it was YOU? Right?

Well, it IS true to a certain extent. Some people prefer to go by a pseudonym, take IceSky as mine for instance. I use it most of the time as my nickname. But I still do add my real name, given the option too. If possible, I'd like Calvin "IceSky" Chew set as my name. I think that's much better.

Not naming your account as your own name is deemed pretty irritating by some. But then again, what is the search option for? Only ONE account is tied to ONE email, isn't it? There you go. Another topic for you to debate on. But I'll just end this one right here. =)

Oh, I've read the whole damn post. I can say at least 70%, if not 100% of it is directed to me. Which part of it isn't directed to me? YOU tell me. And its not YOUR theory of wine maturing. Other, more intelligent, legit scientists have discovered it way before we were born.

Oh yes, I never thought of it that way. Yeah, that's right. He's a person who can forgive and understand. He accepts his problems and strives to be better. He's actually a very nice boy now. So much different from last year. =)

You've said it, I can study, I'm smart, I'm a better person and you're jealous. That proves it. I think you remember my post previously about jealousy being the attitude which really is the downfall of a person here, no? Fine by me. If you'd let your emotions, especially JEALOUSY of all things take over you and destroy our once-decent-friendship, go ahead. I'll act as if our friendship had never existed.

I've tried reasoning with you before, I've compromised with you before. But it seems that it has NO EFFECT whatsoever. Beats me, then. I've stood beside you when you were at one of your lowest points and complained about one of your problems like the one in this post previously.

I came up with an idea for all of us to stop each other from doing stupid things. Believe me, everyone in the class was telling me it wouldn't work on an obstinate guy like you. Only I was the one who said that it was possible. But you don't see all this, do you?

What you see is jealousy. Me as your enemy. Someone who's out to kill you/defeat you. For one, I've never thought of that. I've always accepted you as a good friend. Not someone to take advantage of or someone to fight against with and compete with to become "King of the Hill". There's always a bigger fish, and it just so happens that I was that bigger fish. And you grow jealous. I really don't know what to say about you anymore. Its saddening to see you become this way, when we can talk, joke and laugh so happily just a week ago. SPM is drawing to a close, and I'm through with this.

For one, if you're talking about me, I do not fall for 13 year olds. I can't find any reason to be mad here, but otherwise, get your head straight, ALL OF YOU. I can't stop stressing that we're in the midst of SPM currently and all this argument is of no use.

And as for the main source of most of the problems around here, screw you. You'll never be anything else more than a playboy, nothing more than a cheap date, a short guy who's delusional about love and anything along those lines. You started it, didn't you? Pretending to "keep secrets" and stuff, then telling your "pet sisters" and friends. People do things for a reason. They LIE. They don't tell truths the time. There's a hidden motive to those lies.

Oh yeah, I fell for a Form 3 girl before, is it? Riiightt...that was just an experiment, and it seems my hypothesis was accepted. Conclusion: YOU CAN'T KEEP SECRETS! The very next day, the girls kept asking me if it was true. Who else could it have been other than you to let out the "secret" I told you?

Wake up, people. The troublemaker is often in front of you/us and is constantly stirring up trouble in one way or another. All you have to do is stop him/ignore him/catch him. Whatever. Its getting really heated up..yes, SPM. Not to mention, false rumours flying about EVEN DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. Its even reaching the ears of people who have even already LEFT THIS SCHOOL.

People who poke their noses into other people's business seem to enjoy it very much. On the other hand, their comrades seem to enjoy telling the whole world what their targets are up to and boast about how right they are.

Geez, you'd rather base your facts on hearsay from the guy who's apparently "turned over a new leaf". Pfft. Yeah, right.

You're blinded by his "acts of goodwill" and stuff. He's still the same after all. What's the difference? Getting a girlfriend just a day before SPM. Yeah, that's called "turning over a new leaf". For God's sake...just get a life already.

One little study session with you, he tells you everything, and you decide to believe him. Honestly, I don't give a fuck to whoever's badmouthing me and spreading rumours behind my back (please excuse the profanity). He's just being extremely proud and arrogant. Why, he barely even has anymore pride, frolicking with girls like they're his and getting shot down every other month, trying to confess his love for them. He's so full of himself. "I got a Form 1 girlfriend you know!" That's what's probably going through his mind and what he's probably telling everyone.

I'm done with trying to make him go the right way. Who am I to do so anyway? I get shit from him instead, being called his "successor" being a playboy and so on. He'll get it back someday. Karma, as a certain friend of mine taught me, is a very powerful concept. Yes, idiots will be idiots. HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! But no, you don't see him, do you? Wake up, bud. He's there.

I think a certain someone, who goes by the surname 'X' shouldn't be blamed for any of this. He doesn't deserve any of this and never asked for. After all, he's just helping a friend in need. Nobody asked for all this. Besides, its all the job of a bloody lovesick bastard who's so proud of his Form 1 girlfriend.

Brace for impact, instinct tells me tomorrow's gonna be another huge war. But think positively out of all this, we finally get to clear the air as to why all these issues are raised and especially in the midst of SPM..

All's well that ends well. It seems I have jumped the gun, and I do apologise. But I still stand my ground saying you shouldn't have do so, although you may be facing your problem's, Mr.So and So.

Everyone faces an immense amount of problems throughout their lives. I for one, have done so and am still doing so. Its natural and just part of our lives.

Life never is fair. We have to persevere, no matter what it takes. If any of you people reading this have gone through a very hard time in your life before, you do know what I mean.

If you're thinking about suicide, I beg that you don't. To commit suicide is to give up and ultimately, lose to the game we all are in. Yes. life is a game. Its a game of life and death.

You may be alive today, but murdered tomorrow. Its just like a game. Everyday you level up, you learn new things. Just like in a game.

We are all placed into this game. How we interact with each other and fight to survive depends on us and the people around us.

The people whom you meet throughout your life can help you, some may even attempt to shake you and bring you down. We have to identify which are true friends.

Having said all this, I will now return to face the world as I am, and continue fighting. I may struggle at times and have contemplated suicide once in my life before, but I'm proud to say I've managed to resolve my problems in more appropirate ways.

To live means to fight...and fight, that is, for survival.

I've said I wouldn't be updating till my trial's over or after SPM, but I feel the urge to post this.

This post is in response to another person's blog post, one which is in my link list. I'm not gonna mention which, but I think you'll be able to find it, if you go through them one-by-one.

To Mr. So and So,
1st of all, I understand all the shit you're going through right now. Its 1 month left, and our emotions are on an all-time high. If you wanna go ahead and comment about all your other friends and the gals they've got right now, or how innocent and what a good boy that guy is by "turning over a new leaf", by all means, please go ahead. But don't you think its rather too early to judge someone like that?

I mean, its pretty obvious about who you're talking about in this single paragraph.
"Mr. W is 17 too. He's damn hot. He has the looks and the brains but he doesn't care for you. He's only there to drive you around and see that he follows you to wherever you take him. Yes, I know my attitude ain't the best of the best, but wait...I'm only there to drive people around, I'm a follower, I'm filthy rich and has feelings that last only for a while? Sure, say what you wish. I can safely say that the latter is a bunch of LIES.

You don't judge books by their covers, do you? Oh no, you don't.
You take people's performance last year and compare it with THIS year. I'm not jealous of the guy or anything, but everyone knows who the playboy is and who he's claiming to be his successor.

I didn't bring this upon myself, as you've told me before. The story filled with Midna "sexily" doing stuff? What does that imply? That I care for nothing but sex and sexual appeal? Its a recurring joke, for God's sake. If all you immature and close-minded people can't understand what it is, then don't call me a sex maniac, or a playboy whose mind is filled with one thing, sex!

I was not born smart. It took me a LOT of shit to get where I am right now. I can say I've been to hell and back. And as for the questions that appeared during the trial, I take it as a mere coincidence. If you take it as cheating, unfair, don't blame me because you don't attend tuition. They have these classes for a reason, and I'm proud to say mine isn't one which leaks papers.

Sure, it seems like I do sleep in class, I do loads of nonsense and don't pay attention, right? But have you stopped to look in a mirror? Why don't you point at yourself sometimes?

Jealousy really kills you. It is the attitude which really IS the downfall of a person. Being fed up and stuff, I can understand. I'm going through the same shit as you are and already have before. But I have to stand my ground when something untrue arises about me.

The bottom line is, I'm not really pissed with you. I never really have been. But please, do know how to differentiate between fact and fiction! I'm pretty sure we've learnt differentiation in Add Math! If you want to define a person and their attitude, do it with proper care!

P.S. On a final note, I'm not a child prodigy. You don't see results without effort. I worked towards where I am today, being able to excel in certain subjects. I may make it sound like easy work, "cramming the Wii instead of books and stuff", but there's a fine line between reality and jokes. I hope you do recover from your emotional breakdown, and I hope you don't simply pick up an M16 and start shooting people around you (especially innocent ones, like me) like that again.

Chances are, most people aren't even gonna see this post. That's because I've barely updated. Sorry folks, due to the upcoming SPM and the currently on-going SPM trials, I've been pretty unable to do so.

These past few months have taught me so many lessons in life, the most prominent being the fact that each and everyone of us are freaks. In our own way.
But I'll save that for later, in many other posts to come.

I'll have another update(hopefully) after the trials. If not, you won't be seeing me till SPM's over.

I can hell as well anticipate the plan of this case VERY WELL. And I dare say I'm correct about it. Though I don't have enough clues to narrow down the possibilities, I'm pretty sure about it. I don't know what else to do, though. I'm pretty lost.

1st of all, I'm not in a very good mood. In fact, I'm in a real fucked up mood right now. 2ndly, yes, I've been framed for some crime I didn't commit.

I got called up for a 20-minute interrogation session today with the big boss himself. Somehow, I'm one of the suspects for the Files-in-drive-Z-got-tampered case. Why? Simple. Because I touched drive Z before.

Drive Z is a network drive where all the teachers keep their stuff in. Why wasn't it encrypted in the 1st place? Anyone can just access it. In any case, I was asked by a teacher(I won't say who.) to save an image into her folder in drive Z. I did so, without touching ANY OTHER FOLDER OR FILE. Well, I guess eventually it came back to me being "one of the people who accessed drive Z before".

Still pretty blur on the case, but starting tomorrow, I'm proceeding with investigations. I'll prove my innocence in this whole bloody case.
As for the person who caused this whole shitstorm, I suggest you watch out. If I ever find out who you are, I'll fuck you up real good.

P.S. Excuse my extensive use of profane language. I'm totally pissed off at this case.

I know, I haven't been getting to my posts at all.

First of all, SPM revision and stuff.
Secondly, my current situation jeopardising me and her at the same time. Why'd I do it in the 1st place, I'm wondering? Luckily for my lil' sis who has been a WONDERFUL source of help, I've decided to do what's right in the end. To stop lying to myself and her. It just hurts the both of us more and more.

Yesterday...all our troubles seemed so far away.

Got my pace back the past few days! Its great being able to do real WORK once again without slacking off the WHOLE day.
All until something had to come back and inhibit this thing. My mind had to start thinking again. Thinking about what? Answer is easy. The past. I feel like such a fool after thinking, so much so I want to just run away from everything. But well, life's like that. Seems I haven't had much progress on my blog's template or any other things. How unfortunate.

On a lighter note, PSP-3000 owners will now be delighted to know that homebrew capabilities are now possible!
But aha, there's a catch! This HEN(Homebrew Enabler) will NOT:

If you're asking me to think, why don't you?
Remember the last conversation we had?
I told you the problem spread much worse than you thought. It may seem like you tried to help me, and I thank you for that. But did you think ahead? The consequences that come from you doing such things for me? Instead of helping me, you hurt me and destroyed my reputation.

I'm not saying you can't type what you want in your blog. Go ahead, release your temper there. Everyone does that. But please, don't ever think everything you're doing will help instead of destroy. For everything you did for me, I recognise and appreciate that. But I still remember clearly what happened the last few months. Being shouted at, and acting as if you have power over me? That I cannot condone.

I do hope you realise I'm not taking any revenge, or wish to at all. If possible, I never wanted all this to happen. I thought after what happened, a normal friendship would follow up. But I was wrong, I guess. I need the tuition more than you? Lolz. Sure, sure. Nvm, I guess anyone can say what they want about me. The truth will prevail in the end.

If you wish to hate me, go ahead. If you wish to befriend me, go ahead too. Let me tell you this much; after everything that happened, I still treated you as a friend. But somehow, I feel that you don't. Beats me. Its up to you.

I don't private my blog like alot of people do. Why?

Dood, I don't know why I have the need to post this, but here goes anyway.
When you're referring to THEM, you include me, no doubt about that. Alright, I know I was involved pretty much.
I know I made quite a ruckus lately. But you can still clearly see who were the most of a noise-maker. Well, I'm sorry if I disturbed you with the excessive levels of noise. Yeah, I really mean it.

This has made me realise something. You always get blamed together with your group, even if you're not involved. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'm right in this issue. I just had a revelation, that's all.

Yeah, so I'm kinda sick and tired of all these things. I'm kinda sick of life here. Its all just a bore. How, you say? No where to run, nothing to do, prinny friend's leaving. The environment itself is such a bore. Even most of the people are a bore. They show no fucking sense of enthusiasm in any sort of activity, especially when you're in the same group with them. Which really sucks the fun out of everything.

You don't get motivated, you don't feel enthusiastic yourself. In the end, everyone just loses out. And who the fuck do you think you are? Some big shot? For Christ's sake, you're Form 4 and you discriminate your seniors? I hope one day you'll finally meet your match, man. Then, I'll be having the last laugh that time.

Moreover, there are many weird people I find too. And there's just too many alliances forming, even in our own class. I hate this sort of attitude. Why can't everyone just play nice, and tolerate each other? Do we really need to hate or shun other people like this? Seriously dood, I HATE this place now.

If its EVER possible, fucking get me out. NOW.

I'm taking my time digesting what has happened over the past few years.
So far, I doubt I made much progress. Even so, I'm glad I have people.
Wonderful people who can brighten up my life and help me.

I've had many things served right in front of me,
but I pushed many of them away without knowing it.
Maybe I should appreciate what I currently have,

Now, after having finished off the trainer in Pokemon, MJ decides to invade the Super Mario world and find more little boys to "play" with.

Doesn't seem to fit right...I advise and advise people to look forward, and not to think about the past and yet I still do so. I guess I'm just not really ready to let go of 2008 yet. From the 1st half of the year to the 2nd, things have really changed alot. I didn't expect it to be THAT fast, though. Let me list out some of the things I went through in 2008.

1st half of 2008, I finally entered and felt what Form 4 Science is like. HELL. I'm always finding myself constantly having trouble keeping up with so many subjects, what with all the new weird terms, formats and stuff. And to top it all off, I remember distinctively that my "brilliant" classmates were of no help at all. Most of them were just there to sit around and 'goyang kaki' rather than study, which made the class a non-conducive place to study at all.
There were some, like me who WANTED to study after all. But because of the little willpower I have to study at home, I choose to study more at school which wasn't much of an option for me then. Makes me regret to have wasted my time and parent's money over there, just to listen to a whole group of 15+ people make noise and disrupt class. Totally abysmal.
Eventually, I DID have my breaking point, and it ended off with a one-man-show staring me at the front of the class of course. What pleasure it was to see such disgusted faces, afraid to admit the truth when I finally shouted at them. I kinda miss that moment. Nothing much happened in the 1st half, really. But it DID teach me how to become a stronger person, and to stand up to your enemies and tell them you ABHOR them, straight to their face. Kinda reminds me of my previous post.

2nd half of 2008,

I got out of the school shortly after. Didn't want to have to study in a classroom with such bitches & bastards. Didn't matter much to me anyways. I didn't have any pride to lose.
Oh, I started my blog during the 2nd half of 2008 too...=P
I also learnt how to intercept an alien transmission and launch a nuclear missile, all through my calculator!
I joined my new school later, and gained friends who I can finally trust and enjoy my time with during my secondary school life.
I finally...fell in love with my sweetheart...and confessed to her...=3
For the 1st time, I detected a nuclear launch. HELL, YEAH!
I lost one of my favourite principals ever...R.I.P, Encik Ramli..
I met a teacher who really brings herself down to our level and is always fun to be with, Ms.Cheah. =)
I ACTUALLY cried reading about the helpless baby seals being killed inhumanely.
I had my computer fixed up in my room once again after 2-3 years on the LAST day of 2008!

There are many other things more, I guess...too many things to remember. But I do know that 2008 changed my life forever, especially finding friends who I finally could count on and trust and have fun with. The security I have among these friends is amazing, I have never felt this for the past 4 years of my schooling days. Which is why it pains me when I tend to hurt any of them. Well...2008 was delightful after all. I wonder what surprises are in store for me in 2009...

P.S. Mandy...if you're reading this, I'd like to apologise once more, and ask of you to forgive me and not write me off. I sincerely didn't mean it in a bad way when I told Ying. I also wouldn't want to harbour any hard feelings towards you, and vice versa.

Oh...it's 2009 already, and my last post in 2008 was during November. Wow. Yeah, I bet. I started slacking off in everything, I guess. Schoolwork, tv, even in playing games.
I spent MY New Year's Ever re-installing software back into my newly reformatted computer. Can't say I didn't like that, it's a fresh change from all those countdown things. Besides, I never really liked going out into a crowd of revelers, who are ready to stampede and trample you at any point of time. I don't think I'm ready to get killed by hundreds of high heels and sneakers and God-knows-what some other people are wearing as footwear. Oh yeah, and all those flying cans of streamer sprays and foam sprays. Once one of them gets into my eye, I think I'll spend the rest of the new year in the doctor's office. A very Happy New Year at that!

I shudder to think about this year. I don't WANT to take SPM! Wait...better to get it over and done with, right? Wrong! I'm not ready for this sort of mental torture where all my privileges get stripped off months before the exam, staying at home being forced to revise every single second of the day, having a curfew for almost every darn activity, even eating and sleeping! I'm guessing maybe this year will murder me in no time...

Baby Seal Hunting a Sport?!

Just came back from Hong Kong...actually, I've been back for a week now. Too lazy to extract all my photos and upload it here...=D I'll do it eventually... Strange, I don't have the time to post about my trip to Hong Kong, but I have all the time in the world to post about baby seal hunting....-_-" Just take a look at these pics. I think they speak for themselves.

Hey...cute, aren't they? I bet those 2 pics were able to make you smile at least! Now, these baby seals are just so darn cute. Why would anyone hate them or kill them, right?Think again. In Canada, some people refer to killing these poor, innocent, helpless creatures as a SPORT! Yes, you're right! WHAT THE HELL?!
Look at them, so pitiful and helpless...not knowing what hit them..

What did the seals do to deserve this kind of inhumane treatment? They didn't go around causing mayhem. They aren't any disturbance to humans. They were just minding their own business! Next thing they know, they get clubbed on the head by these beasts, and bodies pierced with harpoons! Why?! This isn't a sport!! Look, this baby seal is so tormented by the death of his family, his friends. He now has to survive alone, with nobody to accompany him but the hundreds of hunters constantly sweeping the area. No more friends or family... But just the hundreds and hundreds of remains of his clan.

I recieved this in an email from a friend recently. Those pics were enough to make me nearly cry. Now don't tell me these pics weren't enough to at least invoke some emotions into you. The email stated to simply forward it to all your friends for public awareness, which is why I'd rather post about it here.

Can't I Have Any of It?

Privacy. That's something every single person has, even if its very little. I personally think that although some of us are very open, we definately have SOME form of privacy, whether be it your smses, secrets, emails, blogs or just about anything. The point of privacy is you don't want your thoughts or emotions to be known, or released to certain or some people. Like for example, you wouldn't like anyone to simply read your smses, even if they meant nothing, would you? You wouldn't like just anybody to read your emails, would you? And if your blog is private, that means you wouldn't want anybody to just read your blog!

That's where passwords come in. Passwords are designed to keep people out of our email, blog accounts and so on. You're not going to let anyone know your passwords and let them read your private stuff, are you? For someone like me, even if I find something secretive about a person, I'd rather care about the person's feelings and be more sensitive rather than reading it and satisfying myself. I really despise this 'kepoh' attitude, otherwise known as "invasion of privacy" to those of you wanting a more technical explanation.

Some of you might be thinking this way. Well, you might be right. Why bother if you've done nothing wrong? But, what right do you have to know a person's private stuff? If that person decides to keep it private, let them be! It doesn't mean because he/she didn't do anything wrong, everyone can know his/her secrets.

I'd really appreciate those people who are acting this way to me to stop. I know you might be concerned about me, but at least don't start leaving messages acting as if you don't know anything. I'm pretty offended by such behaviour, that's all I can say.

CFW 5.00 M33 is Out!

What a surprise from Dark_AleX, the person we all put our faith and hope into. Dark_AleX has just served up a plate of piping hot CFW. Yep, just days after FW 5.00 was released by Sony, our favourite genius here cracked it.

5.00 M33 changes:

4.01 to 5.00
Bug fix: when changing speed in xmb, and the psp turned the brightness to 0 automatically the speed was reset to 222 again.

TA-090 spotted in PSP-3000!

The TA-090 is the motherboard found in most PSP-2000s. That means if it is in the PSP-3000, it's hackable, right? Wrong. Sony has some sort of protection on it. However, only the first round of manufactured PSP-3000 units have this motherboard, so there's hope for those of you who bought it. Unfortunately, it's not here in Msia yet...I'm sure there'll definately be a way around this. There always is. Guess we'll have to wait. Only time will tell.

Life Really is Unpredictable...

This post is dedicated to the principal of my former-school, APIIT. Though I have said before that I would not be posting anything related to APIIT, I feel that this is a must. Mind you, this post isn't for the school, it's for our beloved principal.

Encik Ramli joined APIIT as the principal of the school in 2007. From that day onwards, I can safely say that he was looked highly upon many of us. His approach to us as a principal was like none other. He wasn't one of the strict types, where everything you do is wrong, and whatever they say is right. He was more passive in his approach. Instead of scolding us without reason, he would instead advise us sternly, yet kindly. Though he sounds lenient in his ways, he was nonetheless strict in meting out punishments for offences, especially for the serious ones.

I still remember the day he walked into our class and offered to teach Sejarah for one lesson. Boy, was that the longest Sejarah lesson my entire life. Back then, I was hoping for the lesson to end as soon as I could. Now when I think back, I really wish I could listen to him teach us once more. Though the morning assembly talks were long and boring, I wish I could listen to his "boring" speech once more. He loved all his students wholeheartedly, no matter how mischievous they may be. Other principals wouldn't have done what he did. He was like a father/grandfather figure to all of us.

I awoke to news that Encik Ramli passed away on Tuesday, 14 Oct 2008 sometime in the afternoon in SJMC. The apparent cause of death was heart failure/cardiac arrest. At first when I heard the news I thought it was some kind of joke to get me to wake up. Little did I know as I started blog-hopping, I finally realised the truth. Encik Ramli's exsistence was of no more on this Earth. I sat staring at the monitor, stunned. The last time I ever saw him was when I left the school. He hugged me and apologised for any failures that he caused me despite the fact that on the contrary, he helped me as much as he could, I believe. That was 3 months ago. Now, I am here typing about memories of him.

Life really is unexpected. You might have the ones you love or the people you care about today. Tomorrow they can all just be taken away from you without warning. Most of us never appreciate something or someone until we realise its too late. I'm definately one of them.

May you Rest In Peace, Encik Ramli. I still find it hard to accept the fact that you no longer exist anymore. All that's left of you are the memories of the past and everything that you have ever worked for. I'll miss you and the things you've done for me, and I'll never forget them.

FW 5.00 Has arrived...

Yes, the official firmware has been released by Sony themselves. The changes:

The [PlayStation® Network] category has been added, and [PlayStation® Store] is now available under this category.
PlayStation® format software can now be output in interlace format on a connected device.
PlayStation® format software can now be output in full-screen size on a connected device.
The sleep timer feature can now be used under [Music].
The system will automatically change to USB mode when a USB cable is connected.
The [Original] theme has been redesigned.
A new full-screen keyboard; press [Select] when the OSK is displayed.

FW 5.00 is quite and interesting makeover with the new original theme, access to PSN store and the all new OSK or on-screen keyboard. If you're really curious, why not just try it?Once you're done with it, you can just pandora yourself back to CFW 4.01 M33. To those of you who KNOW how to do it, that is...

~PSP TA88v3~

That's what the new motherboard for PSPs are called. Why I'm featuring it is not because it'll bring us any good news. It bring bad news, ladies and gentlemen! Yes, real baaad. I'll just take it straight from the source :

When the PSP boots, the boot code (aka pre-ipl or ipl loader) loads the ipl from either the nand or memory stick. The IPL is splitted into pieces of 0×1000 bytes.

First 0xA0 bytes of each block is a header for the kirk hardware command 1. It contains keys, the size of the cipher data, and two hashes, one for part the header itself, and another one for the body. The 0xF60 remaining bytes are the ciphered body, which will decrypt to 0xF60 plain bytes… if the hashes, which are checked by kirk hardware itself, are OK. (Note: ciphered body can actually be less than 0xF60, in this case, remaining bytes are ignored… before TA88v3)

What has Sony added to fix this?

The answer can be found in 4.00+ slim ipl’s. They decreased the size of the ciphered body to 0xF40 to leave 0×20 bytes at the end of each block (at offset 0xFE0). In newest pre-ipl’s, these 0×20 bytes have a meaning.
This protection also destroys any possibility of downgrading below 4.00, as these new cpus won’t be able to boot previous firmwares ipl’s.

Summary: basically, all security of newest psp cpu’s rely on the secrecy of the calculation of those 0×20 bytes. If pre-ipl were dumped somehow, the security would go down TOTALLY.

The best part is, the PSP-3000 is most likely going to sport the new motherboard. Well, I guess the constant struggle with Sony keeps the hacking industry alive, doesn't it? I'm sure sooner or later Dark_Alex will probably come up with something...he always does.
